Moris Triventi to deliver a keynote at HELM 2026 in Nuremberg
The coordinator of EqualScope will be among the keynote speakers at the seventh Forum on Higher Education and Labour Market Research, organized by IAB and DZHW on 23–24 June 2026.
Moris Triventi, Professor at the University of Milan and coordinator of EqualScope, will deliver a keynote speech at the 7th Forum on Higher Education and Labour Market Research (HELM), an interdisciplinary conference jointly organized by the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW). The event will take place on 23–24 June 2026 in Nuremberg, at the Federal Employment Agency, and is organized around the broad theme “Intended and Unintended Consequences of Higher Education Reforms.” The other keynote speaker announced for the conference is Susan Dynarski of Harvard University.
Moris Triventi’s lecture, titled “Shifting Inequalities in Mass Higher Education: Expansion, Differentiation, and Unequal Labour-Market Returns,” will reflect on how the expansion of tertiary education has transformed inequalities, shifting them from vertical access gaps toward horizontal stratification across fields of study, institutions, and programme types. The talk will also address how these dynamics continue to shape unequal labour-market outcomes even among tertiary graduates, in light of broader changes in higher education systems and labour markets.
